The main objective of the study was to know the effect of socio-economic factors on the profit and measure the marketing efficiency of onion at wholesalers. The study was conducted in Khartoum State during 2012. It depended mainly on primary data. The age, educational level and experience of wholesalers' onion had positively affect on net profit and statistically significant, while marketing cost negatively affect on profit. Wholesalers faced obstacles in fees, taxes, rent, finance and others. Fees and taxes should be reduced. Credit services and investment in this efficiency activity should be insured and encouraged, respectively.
