The study entails a review of the impact of agriculture on economic performance in Zimbabwe. It has also emerged that economic decline of growth in Zimbabwe from 2000 to 2008, has been largely due to the stagnation in growth in the agricultural sector. Zimbabwe still depends on rain-fed agriculture, which can be affected by bad weather. Agriculture has proven to have a positive and significant impact on economic growth. This suggests that in order for the country to achieve sustainable economic growth, which is a prerequisite for development, this growth has to be primarily from the agricultural sector and then should spread to the other sectors through various linkages.
