This study purported to investigate if there are differences between hospitality/tourism education and hospitality/tourism industry in Ghana. The study adopted cross-sectional survey and quantitative approach. The population of the study was made up of hospitality/tourism teachers in tertiary institutions and managers of hospitality/tourism industry. Questionnaires were the main instrument used. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyse the data obtained.
The results unveiled that; there are no differences between the important skills provided to students and skills demanded by hospitality industry. Download
