Conceptualizing A Model Of Job Demand-control And Burnout Pertaining To Lawyers
The job demand-control model and the burnout model are among the most renowned theoretical frameworks that relate job characteristics to health and well-being of individuals. This paper scrutinizes these models of job demand-control and burnout with an attempt to develop a conceptual framework to identify the relationship between these variables in relation to practicing lawyers. At the inception, the job demand-control model is looked at, together with the additional variable of social support. Thereafter the concept of burnout is pondered upon. The relationship between job demand-control and burnout is also illustrated and the moderating effect of social support is looked into
