The present paper makes an attempt to study the health and education status of scheduled tribes of Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh. The study was made using primary data from 89 sample respondents in the year 2009 with help of Multi-stage random sampling technique and results were analyzed through tabular analysis. The results revealed on health status that, more than 40 per cent of the diseased population is noticed in children within age group 6 to 15 years. The children seem to be the worst victims of ill health. The next victims were women’s in the study area.
