The paper was design to investigate how the quality management process takes place in Nigerian universities. A standard literature review approach was used to identify gaps in past literature. The study collected information from 18 university principal officers who have an extensive role in university quality management. The paper used a qualitative approach to investigate principal officers’ knowledge of the quality management process in their universities in order to expand our knowledge about how quality management is carried out.
