In this study, students’ knowledge of the average supposed to have been learnt from primary to Senior High School (SHS) level on the Ghanaian educational ladder is investigated among first year mathematics education students of the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. Dwindling Performance In Mathematics In The Basic Education Certificate Examination Of Akuapem North District, Ghana
The study investigated the factors responsible for the consistent poor performance of mathematics in the Basic Education Certificate Examination in the Akuapem North District. The study was a survey which used both quantitative and qualitative means for data collection. A questionnaire and a semi-structured interview was used as a basis of collecting data from two hundred and seven (207) participants,
