Background: Complementary Alternative Medicine (CAM) is widely utilized in most communities since ancient times however, rarely studied systematically. Objective: The aim of the study was to assess duration of illness and utilization of CAM among patients with mental disorders at Mathari National Referral Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya. Material: A descriptive cross sectional research design among inpatients with mental disorders selected by systematic random sampling.
