Human health has improved drastically during the last century, yet grave inequalities in health persist. To make progress in health, meet new challenges and redress inequalities, resources must be deployed effectively. Public financing plays a big role in health services since it gives society a public policy tool that can be used to create incentives to improve health care quality, curtail costs, redress inequalities or improve access. In Kenya, Public expenditure on health as a percentage of total government expenditure has been declining. Also Public expenditure on health as a percentage of GDP has been declining. Download
