A study was conducted to survey the rice production potentials of Ebonyi State southeast Nigeria. The calculations were based on census data and field measurement of available lowland per rice farmer in the state. Percentages, means and ranges were used to compute the full rice production potentials of the state. The results showed that Ezza North local government Area, the present largest producer of rice was cultivating a land area of 36470 ha. with a corresponding yield of 121450 tons per annum; while the lowest land put to rice production was by Ohaozara local government Area with 11900 ha and a corresponding yield of 3926 ton annum.
