Addressing the persistent problem of vehicle theft in the Philippines where traditional security measures are often insufficient, this study details the design and development of V2 XTREME, a low-cost, telematics-based alert system. The chief purpose was to create a real-time system integrating cloud messaging to send instant call, SMS, and Gmail notifications to vehicle owners upon detecting a security breach, while also evaluating its user acceptability in a local setting. The methodology involved building a functional prototype using an ESP32 microcontroller, a shock sensor, and a GSM SIM800L module.
