Optimizing Resource Allocation In Professional Football Clubs: An Industrial Engineering And Mcda Approach
Professional football clubs can be viewed as production systems in which interconnected subsystems (youth academy, scouting network, first-team training, etc.) transform inputs (talent, facilities, capital) into outputs (match results, player transfers, brand value). Efficiently allocating limited resources among these units involves balancing multiple objectives (sporting success, financial return, talent development, operational efficiency, strategic alignment). I propose a decision-support framework using Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) to optimize such allocations.
