Influence Of Job-sharing Practices On Teachers Performance Among Public Secondary Schools In Homa-bay County
Teaching remains a demanding and time consuming task which often overlaps into the social life of the teacher. The dualistic roles of teachers who are expected to combine both teaching and family life while consolidating their careers often leads to stress and burnout. Job sharing has emerged as one of the practices for easing pressure among employees, leading to positive work-life balance. However, there has been rampant teacher transfer request in some parts of Kenya hence questioning whether this is due to inadequate job sharing opportunities. Taking the case of public secondary schools in Homa Bay County which, in 2016-2020, has been experiencing very high number of transfer requests
