The Application Of Budgets And Budgetary Control On The Performance Of Small And Medium-sized Enterprises (smes) In Ghana
The study examines the effects of the application of budget and budgetary control on the performance of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Ghana. The study adopted a quantitative descriptive research strategy to address the objectives. Primary data was collected from 200 SME managers/owners/senior staff using a structured questionnaire. The study adopted descriptive techniques for data analysis using techniques such as mean and standard deviation. The results of the study were presented in charts and tables. The response rate recorded was 96.5% and the reliability statistics recorded a Cronbach's Alpha Coefficient of 0.680 for budget Planning
