Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) play an essential role in the economy by being a significant source of flexibility, innovations as well as dynamism especially in industrialized nations. This study investigates the effect of financial literacy on the financial performance of small and medium sized enterprises in the Tema Metropolis of Ghana. Specifically, the study aims at investigating the effect of financial behaviour, financial experience and financial knowledge of owner-managers of SMEs on their financial performance.
