Assessment Of Factors Influencing Forest Resources Exploitation And Utilization By Rural Households In Benue State, Nigeria
This study was carried out to assess various factors influencing forest resources exploitation and utilization by rural households in Benue State, Nigeria. A well structured interview schedule was used purposively to collect information from 300 eligible respondents in the study area. Multiple regression model was used to empirically quantity the 8 socio-economic variables that influenced forest resources exploitation on the livelihood of rural households. The results of the study revealed that some socio-economic variables such as: age, marital status, forest resources exploitation experiences, household size, households head gender and annual income
