The study assessed the rural households' access to credit sources for forest resources exploitation and utilization in Benue State, Nigeria. The study was achieved through the use of a well structured interview schedule to collect information from 300 eligible respondents. The study revealed that majority (70.0%) had no access to credit in the study area and the loan source mostly available was from friends and relations as indicated by 71.0% of the respondents. The study concluded that the rural households have poor access to formal sources of credit except informal sources. Download
