Assessment Of Effects Of Various Types Of Forest Flora Food Resources Exploitation On The Livelihood Of Rural Households And Their Intensity Of Utilization In Benue
The study was carried out to access the various types of forest flora foods resources exploited and their intensity of utilization by the rural households in Benue state, Nigeria. A well structured interview schedule was used to purposively elicit information from eligible 300 respondents. The result of the study revealed that majorly, fruits (60.0%) were exploited and very highly intensively utilized (61.0%) while nuts (51.7%) were exploited and very highly intensively utilized (60.0%) the study concluded that the major identified forest flora foods resources were fruits and nuts.
