Smartphones are nowadays becoming more acceptable due to many features it offers as compared to traditional mobile phones due to the clamor for a portable and faster means of communication. The rate at which the device is being acquired has resulted in significant increase in the number of mobile phone subscribers globally. Therefore, there is a need to ascertain the rate of smartphone acquisition and its effect on the number of people accessing the internet and the resultant impact of using smartphone and the internet on humans globally.
