Field trials were conducted throughout the rainy season of 2015 to assess the effectiveness of using different weed management strategies on yield and financial earnings of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L. cv Petofic) at Kwadaso and Weija, a Forest and Coastal savanna zones of Ghana. Weeds that were very abundant were Euphorbia heterophylla (13.19%), Chromolaena odorata (13.02%) and Commelina benghalensis (11.49%). Though the net returns were not quite significantly different (GHC 9,880.00-10,198.00), application of a combination of pre and post-emergent herbicides gave the highest Weed Control Efficiency (WCE) of 73.85-76.12%.
