The studies on the analysis of feed and feeding habit of Bagrus bayad and Auchenoglanis biscutatus fishes of Tiga Lake was conducted with the aim of unveiling useful information that will serve as basis of comparing and contrasting the two related fish species .The Relative Gut Index (RGI) calculated for A. biscutatus gives an average RGI value of 1.39 which indicate the species to be relatively omnivorous than B. bayad with an RGI of 1.21.Analyses of the stomach contents through frequency of occurrence confirm that A. biscutatus spend it early life (i.e <30cm Total Length) feeding on algae (76.32%) and other plant materials (52.63%), though it latter adapt to feeding more on insects as it Download
