An Assessment Of Acceptance Of Snails As Food In The Tamale Metropolis Of The Northern Region – Ghana
This study was carried out in the Tamale metropolis of the northern region to assess the level of acceptability of snails. In all, 232 respondents (farmers, sellers, buyers and consumers) in the study area were randomly selected for the study. The study was subdivided into four zones namely; Choggu, Kalpohini, Lamashegu and Nyohini zones from which the respondents were selected. Data gathered was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and interpreted and expressed in using simple descriptive statistics in the form of tables, bar charts and pie charts. It was realized at the end of the study that production of snails in the Tamale metropolis was in the form of supply. R
