The research was conducted at the poultry unit of the Department of Animal Science and Fisheries of Abia State University, Umuahia campus, Abia State to evaluate clomiphene citrate (Clomid®) for potency in enhancing the reproductive performance (egg lay performance) of Nigerian local hens. The work involved 48 Nigerian indigenous hens and 48 Nigerian indigenous cocks that were sexually matured, aged 26 weeks.
