Investors have the opportunity to invest in multinational businesses, however they have to take a decision. This research critically reviewed various research work and write up on ratio analysis as a tool for decision making. It was discovered that effort by the various accounting bodies through I F R S to harmonize various accounting systems is yet to eradicate problems faced by analysts in analyzing financial statements of multinational companies for decision making. In conclusion the researcher is of the opinion that the problems cannot be totally eradicated but can be minimized.
