Assessing Yield Response Of Sweet Pepper To Different Levels Of Water Application
The study assesses the yield response of sweet pepper to deficit irrigation and over-watering. The experiment was set-up in a Randomised Complete Block Design with three replications (blocks) and four irrigation levels (T1- full irrigation, T2 – 50 % above full irrigation, T3 - 50 % below full irrigation, T4 – no irrigation (only rainfed) as control. The levels of irrigation water applied had a significant effect on the shapes and colours of fruits. The dominant observed shapes for each of the treatments were recorded as follows: T1= globular, T2 = belled, T3 = belled and T4 = elongated.
