The study objective was to establish the economic benefits of pasture farming based dairy production using Brachiaria hybrid cv mulato, pennisetum purpureum, Panicum maxima and lablab purpureus in the Northern Agro ecological Zone (NAEZ). The productivities of major nutrients and performance of the three pasture species were established to determine their ability to be used as alternatives forages for sustainable dairy production. The test pasture species were selected based on their performance and availability of their planting materials.
