Primary Health Care (PHC) has contributed significantly in achieving universal coverage of health care services and promotes equitable distribution of healthcare resources on the reality of social justice and development. The Alma Ata Declaration of 1978 adopted P.H.C as a vehicle for attainment of the goal of Health for All by Year 2000 and beyond.
