Variability Of Heat Shock Resistance In Buxus Sempervirens L. Leaves As Influenced By Age And Collection Season, Assessed Through Chlorophyll Fluorescence
The thermotolerance of the photosynthetic apparatus in Buxus sempervirens L. (boxwood) was studied by assessing the suppression and recovery of the relative quantum yield of photosystem II after exposing leaves to a thermal shock at temperature 54°C for 5 minutes. This assessment considered both the collection season and leaf age. Seasonal variations in photosystem II efficiency were observed, reflecting differences
