This theoretical paper reviews theoretical and empirical literature concerning the connection between strategic resources, competitive advantage and the performance of a firm. The study of strategic resources, competitive advantage and superior performance of firms, is of great significance in strategic management. The Resource Based View (RBV) theory explains the key origin and drivers of firm’s competitive advantage and superior performance.
