Effects Of Steam Sterilized Soil On Anthracnose Severity, Growth And Yield Of Common Bean Genotypes (phaseolus Vulgaries L.) Under Screen House Conditions
Common bean anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum lindemuthianum is an economically important disease in Kenya. The pathogen survives on infected crop debris, seeds and in soil for up to three years. Therefore soil is an important component of study on anthracnose disease epidemiology in beans. Soil sterilization in screenhouse experiments is intended to eliminate the effect of soil pathogenic microbes where

Participatory Variety Selection: Farmers Participation In Pigeon Pea (cajanus Cajan L., Millisp.) Genotypes Selection In Southern Tanzania
A participatory genotype/variety selection involving farmers in nine groups in South Eastern Tanzania and researchers from Naliendele Agricultural Research Institute (NARI) to select superior genotypes is described. Most farmers utilize landraces of pigeon pea which are low yielding and late maturity. Six newly improved pigeon pea genotypes obtained from ICRISAT were planted in each group site as un replicated trials.

Characteristics Of Inter-organizational Partnerships In Health Workers’ Training: A Case Of Ophthalmology Programs At Kenya Medical Training College
The objective of the study was to describe the characteristics of partners collaborating with KMTC in ophthalmology training programs. An exploratory research design was employed in the form of a qualitative case study. Through purposive sampling 24 representatives of organizations that partner with KMTC were contacted and interviewed using a semi-structured interview schedule and an observation checklist. Data was analysed

A Class Of Block Hybrid Second Derivative Multistep Methods For Initial Value Problems In Ordinary Differential Equations
Block multistep methods were developed using second derivative of the solution with off-step point(s) embedded into one-step. The methods are applied to integrate the Initial value problems (IVPs) of the first order ordinary differential equation. As requirements for the numerical integration of IVP, the order, local truncation and stability properties are investigated. The numerical results obtained compared well with existing
