Purpose of the Study: This study explored effectiveness of HIV and AIDS teaching strategies in public boarding secondary schools in Kisumu County. The study was guided by the research question; to what extent are the strategies effective in mitigating the spread of HIV in public boarding secondary schools in Kisumu County? The study was anchored on constructivist Learning theory. Statement of the Problem: Even though the menace of HIV and AIDS among adolescents is a problem worldwide; Kenya has continuously recorded high number of new HIV infections among the youths, with many living with the virus.
