Significance Of Synchronizing Generators In Parallel, Using Benin Medical Care, Adesuwa, Benin City As A Case Study
Due to the epileptic nature/condition of electricity in Nigeria, most establishments have adopted a means of generating electricity that would minimize power consumption. Instead of Benin Medical Care (BMC) to use separate stand-by generators for different sections of the hospital, it was suggested that the generators should be synchronized and connected in parallel to reduce cost and increase reliability. Different load intakes on one generator were ascertained at intervals until the synchronizing panel calls for the other generator when the previous was overloaded.
