Sustainable development in the maritime transport system offers economic growth, environmental protection and social equity in maritime business planning and decision making. The initiative is highly relevant in West African region where social conditions lag far behind those in developed economy. In this paper, a Chi square distribution technique was used to simulate the significant contribution of various hypotheses for strategic development of West African maritime business initiatives.
