The Proportion Of Teenage Deliveries At Kanyakine Sub County Hospital (ksch), Meru County- Kenya From January To October 2018
Teenage pregnancy is an issue of great importance to public health. Global teenage delivery was rated at 47 deliveries per 1000 women in 2015. In Sub-Saharan Africa, about half of all women, give birth before their 20th birthday. Kenya teenage deliveries stand at 18% of all deliveries, and 20% in Meru County. The study was carried at KSCH, the sub county referral hospital of Imenti South sub County in Meru County. The study was a cross sectional hospital records review. Data source was Maternity Register, Health Facility Register (MOH 333). The data was entered electronically into an excel data collection tool and the same excel used for analysis.
