Silent Leaders! The Role Of Director Of Studies (dos) In School Leadership. A Case Of Secondary Schools In Soroti District,
Director of Studies position constitutes part of the top leadership team that supports all components of instructional programs in secondary schools. However, literature that highlights their leadership role is limited. The study seeks to voice their contribution in recognition of the roles they play in school management. A descriptive survey research design was used for the study. The target population was 460 derived from 34 public and private secondary schools in Soroti district. A sample size of 210 respondents from 28 selected secondary schools comprising of headteachers, deputy headteachers, Directors of Studies (DOS) and teachers was used.
