Farming Households Description On Causes Of 2010 Flood Disaster In Sokoto State, Nigeria
The study identified 178 farming households affected by the 2010 flood disaster that described the causes of 2010 flood disaster in Sokoto State, Nigeria. The questionnaire with 1.0 reliability coefficient was used for the collection of primary data, while descriptive statistics was used for data analysis. The study revealed that (91.6%) of the farming households expressed that the excessive rainfall was the natural factor that caused the 2010 flood disaster, while (92.1%) of the farming households expressed that the excessive released of water from Goronyo Dam was the human factor that caused the 2010 flood disaster.
