A firm gains competitive advantage by developing or by acquiring a unique set of attributes or conducts its business in a unique manner that makes it outperform competitors. This study therefore was guided by two variables namely: Team Proficiency and Core competencies, as independent variables and the dependent variable was Sustainable Competitive Advantage. The target respondents were Human Resource Managers from the registered Public Tertiary Institutions in Kenya and a sample size 77 respondents obtained from the Public Tertiary Institutions Kenya.
