Relationship Between West African Senior School Certificate Examination Entry Grades In Core Subjects And Final Results Of Students At College Of Education
The study was an ex-post facto survey, which investigated the relationship between West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) entry grades in Mathematics, English and Integrated Science and academic performance of final Diploma in Basic Education. Four hundred and twenty-two (422) students who graduated in 2015 and 2016 were sampled for the study. The sampled students’ WASSCE entry grades in Mathematics, English Language and Integrated Science (MES) were recorded from their academic files kept at the data office while data on their final classes were collated at the assessment office.
