Bacteriological assessment of wholesome and unwholesome raw groundnut seeds sold in Port Harcourt metropolis of Nigeria was carried out in Department of Microbiology and Environmental biology (Microbiology Laboratory in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) using standard microbiological methods. The bacterial count ranged significantly (P>0.05) from 0 to 8×105 cfu/ml and 2×105 to 1.0×106 cfu/ml for wholesome and unwholesome respectively.
