Measuring Magnetic Field's (emf) Pollution Under High Voltage (330kv And 33kv) Transmission Lines At Etete, Gra Benin City
The magnetic field under high voltage power lines are measured and compared with international acceptable limits for electromagnetic field radiation. Determination of the magnetic field in the vicinity of these lines is important for several reasons. Namely, the electromagnetic fields created around these lines can have adverse impact on people, as well as equipment located in their vicinity. From research carried out in the field, it was observed that voltage stabilizers at approximately 40metres to the source of EM radiation on the 330Kv and 132Kv does not last more than 15 months before packing up.
