Land use/cover change analysis is a major tool in studies of sustainable development. Yola of recent is characterized by intensive and extensive developments in housing, educational institutes, commercial buildings and small scale industries. Image differencing via the Image subtraction module in ENVI 4.5 (ITT Virtual Information Solution, 2008) was utilised as a tool to analyse LANDSAT ETM+ Images of the study area for years 1998, 2001, 2005, 2009 & 2013.
