Commercial Landuse Incursion In Ile-ife, Nigeria
This study examined the environmental impacts of commercial land use incursion into the residential areas surrounding odo-ogbe market in Ile-Ife, an ancient city in Nigeria. The data for the study were basically from primary sources, collected through questionnaire administered on the residents of the affected residential areas. A total of seventy-seven residents from 50% of the buildings in the study area were sampled. Findings from the study revealed that 75.3% of the buildings in the study area were for mixed uses, that is, both residential and commercial uses.
